My Updates
📌 I am expected to complete my Ph.D. in Spring 2027 and am actively seeking postdoctoral opportunities. If you work at the interface of forest health, microbial ecology, and plant-microbe interactions — let’s connect at edoardo_scali@berkeley.edu.
May 2026 🌺 This summer I will be in Hawaiʻi for two months conducting fieldwork on Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death (ROD), in collaboration with the USDA Forest Service and the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo. I will be investigating the holobiont associated with healthy and diseased ʻōhiʻa trees across disease gradients.
May 2026 I have been awarded the Summer 2026 Research Funding Grant by the ESPM Department and the Vinciguerra Fund Award by the Fulbright Commission to support my dissertation research.
